For those at Oracle OpenWorld, or those that closely follow Simba, this may not be news, but Simba has officially released version 3.0 of their MDX Provider of Simba’s MDX Provider for Oracle OLAP 3.0.  Simba’s MDX Provider for Oracle OLAP software enables users to feed their PivotTables with live enterprise data directly from their Oracle database, enabling better, faster decisions.  Version 3 of Simba’s software adds deeper analytics functionality to deliver answers faster and more choices for report customization and data presentation.

We are especially excited about the ability to automatically drill-trhough to detail data from a pivottable, using the mappings stored in the Oracle database, and the support for sub-queries, with better support for dimension attributes.  Read the full press release here.
