Oracle just released an update to the Olap BI Spreadsheet Add-in. This is an addin to Excel that allows end-users to access Oracle OLAP cubes from within Microsoft Excel. I downloaded and tried it yesterday. The auto install had trouble with my Excel install since I have Hyperion and OracleBI installed. I simply went into my add-in manager and added it. Once that was done it works just fine. This is great news, since I know there were a lot of people out there with Office 2007 and could no longer use the add-in. Now to see if they support it with 11g Database…. I am working on that as we speak!
