We will be webcasting a demonstration on May 1 at 11:00am Central time of OBI EE on Oracle OLAP. Check out our demo portal page for more information. The conference will be hosted on www.tryconference.oracle.com, a site we get to use as an Oracle partner (at least through June 30). Here’s the abstract for the webcast:
This demonstration will highlight the benefits of using Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE) against Oracle OLAP Analytic Workspaces (AWs). We start by generating reports against standard Oracle tables, then switch to using Oracle OLAP AWs to improve performance. We describe why AWs can achieve better performance. Finally, we show the results of an Oracle OLAP-based model that forecasts our increased profitability if we were to discontinue certain products. This analysis is only achievable using Oracle OLAP.
Oracle OLAP provides a performant multi-dimensional analysis and calculation engine. OBIEE provides an easy-to-use interface for creating complex queries and visualizing data in powerful ways for business intelligence.
The demonstration draws on the strength of both products to show how the combination of OBIEE and Oracle OLAP can deliver performant, attractive analysis of business data.
