I sent out our July 2007 newsletter this morning. If you are subscribed, you should have received it. The newsletter is going through a rebirth of sorts, and we have been making a lot of changes on our end, and have many more improvements more changes planned. We have started using our web host’s mailing list service, based on the GNU Mailman software, to send the newsletter. Ironically, switching to this service appears to have increased the chances of our newsletter being flagged as spam. If you received a copy of the June newsletter, but have not received a copy of the July newsletter, please check to see if your spam filter marked it as spam. Also, please add newsletter@vlamis.com to your spam filter’s whitelist to prevent future newsletters from being filtered.
If you are using Microsoft Outlook, you may have noticed that it displays:”vss-newsletter-bounces@vlamis.com on behalf of newsletter@vlamis.com” in the From: field. That is perfectly normal and can be ignored. We are also developing a new newsletter template that will display properly for Outlook 2007 users and an RSS feed for those who would prefer not to receive the newsletter via e-mail.
