What makes you happy? This question is contemplated by the Kaiser Foundation in its study, “Loneliness and Social Isolation in the United States, the United Kingdom, and Japan: An International Survey.” This data formed the foundational data set used in this year’s BI Bakeoff. Several BI vendors, including Oracle, competed in this year’s BI Bakeoff. Using the Explain feature of Oracle Analytics, you can find correlations between the causes of happiness and loneliness, and demographics and behaviors of people worldwide. These same techniques can be used to maximize any outcome in your business.
